BIOGRAPHY
- Jessica was first introduced to physical therapy when she was injured figure skating. After finishing her own physical therapy, she knew that she wanted to become a physical therapist to help others improve their function and return to their lives. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Health Sciences from Bowling Green State University. Here she also skated and was involved with aquatics as a lifeguard, swimming lessons instructor, and an aquatics aerobics instructor. She then went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toledo, formerly the Medical College of Ohio. Finally, she obtained her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University. Jessica had a decade of experience practicing in outpatient orthopaedics and sports physical therapy before getting more involved with aquatic physical therapy. Jessica went on to work mainly in aquatic physical therapy, and she also received her aquatic clinical competency certificate from the American Physical Therapy Association. When Jessica is not at the pool, she enjoys spending time with her dog and frequenting local theme parks.
